Heating Jacket Ball Valve

Some process media solidify or go sour in closed valve after operation. The remaining media may make the valve hard to operate or even pollute the process media during operation. To avoid such issue, one option is to maintain process media temperature by installing heating jacket to your valve. This heating jacket ball valve is often requested by customers from beverage, pharmaceutical industry.

Heating jacket is a device that maintains process media temperature in valve body. It is welded to valve body. After welding, there is an additional space between outside of the valve body and the inside of the jacket. It allows hot media to pass through, which is usually steam, hot oil or hot water. The standard SS 304 jacket can stand the thermal heating media no larger than 6 bar (87 psi), for larger pressure, please let us know for thicker jacket.

Even with heating jacket, valve still need to be cleaned from time to time. Since our heating jacket is welded to partial of the valve body, customers can still dissemble valve, replace soft kits and clean just like regular valves.

Additional Option

3-way heating jacket ball valve, 501FTo further reduce remaining media in valve, you can add cavity filler or choose to do PTFE coating. Cavity filler fills valve cavity. With a layer of smooth PFA on the surface of valve flow port, it prevents media from sticking in valve body and also make it easier for cleaning process.

We can use heating jacket to all our ball valve products. It can be welded to our 1-piece or 2-piece flange valves with round valve body. It can also be welded to 3-piece or 3-way ball valves with rectangular body. For 1-piece valve, we provide fully jacketed type. For other ball valves, like 2-piece, 3-piece, 3-way, multi-way type, we design partial jacketed option.
